Have students bring their cell phones to use to phone each other during class exercises.
Simply rehearsing dialoges is not enough for phone practice.

The telephone was produced to make money, and is not meant to be an operatic reproduction of the human voice. Therefore, higher pitched voices do not transmit as well. Sounds that are not properly transmitted and are difficult to distinguish without visual cues:

Students take turns acting out one of four steps to making an appointment: time, identification, payment, confirmation

Lesson 6 -- appointment review, time review
What day to you have the senior discount? How much is the discount? How old is a senior citizen?

MC libraries have senior discount Metro cards, for seniors, age 65 and older.
